The association, in a statement signed by its President, Comrade Baba Mahadi, said the minister had demonstrated commitment, courage and patriotism in the discharge of his responsibilities.
ANNS described Musa as a leader dedicated to the peace, unity and security of Nigeria, urging citizens to recognise the efforts of security institutions rather than undermine them.
The students’ body stressed that tackling insecurity requires collective responsibility, calling on Nigerians to maintain objectivity and support lawful measures aimed at protecting the country.
The association also appealed to citizens to remain peaceful and allow due process to guide the resolution of issues involving national security and the operations of security agencies.
According to ANNS, Nigeria belongs to all its citizens, who must contribute positively to efforts aimed at confronting the country’s security challenges.
The group further commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Musa as Defence Minister, stating that the retired general had shown valuable experience and capacity since assuming office under the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
ANNS maintained that Musa’s experience remains important as Nigeria continues to face complex security threats across various parts of the country.
The association therefore urged Nigerians to continue supporting security institutions in carrying out their constitutional duties while promoting peace, unity and confidence in lawful processes.
