A United States court has ordered Iyanna “Yaya” Mayweather, daughter of retired boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, to pay $50.1 million in damages to a woman she stabbed during an altercation in 2020.
According to legal documents obtained from the District Court of Harris County, Texas, the judgment was delivered on Monday, September 14, 2026.
The presiding judge awarded the victim, Lapattra Lashai Jacobs, $40.1 million in compensatory damages and an additional $10 million in exemplary damages.
The compensatory damages cover physical pain, mental anguish, lost earnings and permanent disfigurement, while the exemplary damages were imposed after the court found that Mayweather intentionally committed aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The court also directed Mayweather to provide detailed financial information, including bank account details, contractual agreements and income sources, to facilitate enforcement of the judgment.
The incident occurred on April 3, 2020, at the home of American rapper NBA YoungBoy, with whom both women share children.
A verbal argument reportedly escalated when Mayweather retrieved two kitchen knives and stabbed Jacobs twice, causing injuries to her arm that required surgery.
Mayweather had previously pleaded guilty to criminal charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in April 2022, before the conclusion of the civil proceedings.
